Remote HEDIS Quality Auditor Opportunity in Newark, NJ - Contract Position
Walker Healthforce is seeking an experienced HEDIS Quality Auditor to support a leading healthcare client based in New Jersey. This 6-month contract opportunity offers a unique chance to utilize your skills and expertise in a remote setting. As a HEDIS Quality Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of healthcare services and promoting excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site reviews at participating provider offices to assess environment, quality of physician's medical records, and compliance with documentation standards
Prepare and present findings to physicians, providing education and discussing opportunities for improvement
Provide data support services to facilitate quality improvement and health management initiatives
Assist the Quality Management department with special projects and focused clinical studies
Develop and implement corrective action plans to address audit findings
Collaborate with internal teams to train staff, providers, and vendors on programs and audit standards
Requirements:
3-5 years of related business experience in the healthcare industry
Practical Nurse License or active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Valid Motor Vehicle driver's license and access to an automobile
Knowledge of managed care principles, medical terminology, and PC software
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of URAC accreditation standards and HEDIS principles
Experience in health management or patient education
