We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide data-driven answers to the toughest problems facing our business. As a Healthcare Economics Associate, you'll identify, analyze, and explain medical and pharmacy trends, build complex claims datasets, and create flexible Excel-based models to support trend driver identification and affordability opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Identify, analyze, and explain Medicare medical and pharmacy trends using claims-based analyses
Construct polished MS Excel models to satisfy analytical requests and present complex data in a clear and concise manner
Use SAS/SQL to construct claims-based datasets and drive innovation through data-driven insights
Anticipate questions from key stakeholders and consider all aspects of an analysis before completion
Work independently and take initiative on ideas to add value to the team and business
Provide ongoing, meaningful communications to managers on project status, results, and conclusions from analyses
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field
2+ years of applicable experience in data analytics, examining and summarizing data to uncover insights
2+ years of experience in a corporate environment
Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel (practical experience working with pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphs, vlookups)
Intermediate SQL proficiency - aggregating data from multiple tables, experience working with large datasets, translating analytic needs into technical requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare claims (medical or pharmacy) analytics experience
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
