Job Summary As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in helping patients and their families understand their medical bills and resolve account balances. You'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with patients to create affordable payment plans. Key Responsibilities Using empathy and excellent communication skills to help patients and their families understand their medical bills and resolve account balances. Providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with patients over the phone to create affordable payment plans and taking payments by phone. Accurately documenting all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day, utilizing your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail. Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and a caring team focus. Continuously improving with supportive coaching and feedback from your manager and team leads, as well as ongoing training. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and their families. Strong computer proficiency, with the ability to accurately document calls and follow-ups in our software systems. Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or billing environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge: Previous experience working in a contact center or call center environment. Familiarity with healthcare billing and insurance processes. Bilingual or multilingual language skills. Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
