The role involves designing and deploying scalable systems on GCP, managing infrastructure through Terraform, and ensuring security and compliance within cloud environments.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring solutions meet business requirements and security standards
ā¢ Develop, manage, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of GCP resources, promoting consistency and repeatability
ā¢ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and deployment of applications and infrastructure, improving development velocity and reliability
ā¢ Implement and manage robust security controls, identity and access management (IAM), and network security configurations to protect cloud environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations
ā¢ Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to provide expert guidance on GCP best practices, troubleshoot complex issues, and support application modernization efforts
ā¢ Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of GCP environments, while actively managing and optimizing costs
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
ā¢ Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role
ā¢ Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server administration, and system security
ā¢ Proficient in implementing and managing virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
ā¢ Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their associated services
