Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. eTeam is a company seeking a Functional & Automation Tester to join their team. The role involves functional testing with state project experience, test execution, and defect identification, along with automation scripting using Selenium.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Functional testing with State project experience
ā¢ Experience in understanding complex custom application design and derive Test Cases for adequate E2E test coverage
ā¢ Test execution and defect identification
ā¢ Test Automation scripting experience with Selenium using co-pilot/ Cursor AI
ā¢ Expected Deliverable(s) Manual Test Script Generation Manual Test Execution Selenium Test Script generation using Curson AI Selenium Script execution Defect detection and documentation Defect retest
Skills
ā¢ Experience of US State govt
ā¢ Should be local to Nashville (preferred) or in central time-zone
ā¢ 4+ years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role
ā¢ Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile and waterwall frameworks
ā¢ Working knowledge of test management software like JIRA, JAMA etc
ā¢ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
ā¢ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
ā¢ Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success
ā¢ Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
ā¢ Team player
ā¢ Good time-management skills
ā¢ Good interpersonal and communication skills
ā¢ Analyzing design documents / user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
ā¢ Creating detailed test scripts based on design
ā¢ Maps and traces design/requirements with test scripts
ā¢ Performing test execution, capturing test evidence and logging defects
ā¢ Collaborate closely with other team members as needed
ā¢ Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
ā¢ Design, develop and execute API test scripts using postman as needed
ā¢ Write SQL queries and per DB validations
ā¢ Detect, log and track defects across project lifecycle
ā¢ Come up with effective workarounds/ mitigations to make continuous testing progress
ā¢ Perform peer review of test scripts and defects
ā¢ Apply quality assurance and quality engineering principals throughout the Agile as well as waterfall product lifecycles
ā¢ Provide support and documentation as needed
ā¢ Create and run automated tests using Selenium leveraging co-pilot or Cursor AI
ā¢ Computer Science, Engineering or a related degree preferred
