A bit about us: We are reshaping in-store marketing within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry by offering cutting-edge smart sampling stations that empower brands to connect with customers in exciting new ways. Through a data-driven strategy, we harness in-store customer insights to equip brand marketers with top-tier tools and unmatched analytics. Following a successful $2.5M seed funding round backed by leading VCs and angel investors, we are scaling rapidly, expanding our team to accelerate growth. Role Overview: • This role involves crafting robust, scalable solutions, creating seamless integrations, and ensuring top-notch performance for our applications. As part of a dynamic engineering team, you'll collaborate with other departments to deliver innovative products that align with our vision and advance our mission. Location: • Preference for candidates based in NYC or Chicago, but open to remote candidates. Why join us? • Base salary of $145-180k + meaningful equity • Remote flexibility to work from home • Comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental insurance • Chance to make a huge impact on a small but growing engineering team Job Details Qualifications: • Proficient in JavaScript frameworks like React for front-end and backend frameworks (Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Python/Django) • Skilled in managing databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL, with experience in schema design and optimization • Strong debugging and analytical skills with a track record of solving complex technical challenges • Excellent ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Bonus Points: • Strong level of proficiency with React and Ruby on Rails • Knowledge of backend cost optimization strategies • Experience with IoT or hardware systems integration • Exposure to design tools like Figma or Sketch • Experience with generative AI technologies Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
