Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Front-End Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Workwarp, a part of the Walgreens Boots Alliance family. This remote role is open to residents of Michigan, offering the flexibility to work from home while being part of a dynamic team that's changing the face of healthcare. As a Front-End Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for a range of critical tasks that ensure our patients receive the best possible care and service.
Key Responsibilities
Enter new prescriptions for patients into our data processing system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Process exceptions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate effectively with physician offices and patients to clarify information, resolve issues, or provide updates.
Assist in back-end efforts such as picking, packing, and manifesting as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team.
Provide pharmacist call back and/or patient quality assurance support, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Load insurance plan and coordination of benefits information into our system for new patients and referrals.
Participate in the review and audit of test claims for new patients and referrals.
Handle the processing of reorders and manage email distribution as required.
Perform image indexing and AE report filing, maintaining accurate and organized records.
Offer primary support and expertise for specialized programs such as ETT or Pharma, leveraging your knowledge and skills.
Take on other registered and/or licensed responsibilities as needed, demonstrating your capability and commitment to excellence.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A high school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED.
An active pharmacy technician license or certification as required by the Michigan Board of Pharmacy.
At least 1 year of work experience in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, PBM, or call center settings.
A proven track record of providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Basic knowledge of and skills using MS Windows, MS Office Suite, and/or similar operating/software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills and qualities will give you a competitive edge:
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate diplomatically and confidentially.
A strong ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision.
