Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with carriers to secure transportation for shipments.
- Track shipments and provide updates to clients and team members.
- Optimize routing and scheduling for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Resolve issues during transit with swift, effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and communications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a freight dispatcher or in a similar logistics role is helpful but not required.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance is helpful but training is provided
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient i basic computer skills such as email, internet searches, chats and DMs.
