This role involves guiding online learners through the financial aid process, advising on payment options, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.ResponsibilitiesAdvise students on tuition payment plans, financial aid options, and application proceduresCollaborate with internal departments (Admissions, Student Accounts, Registrar, Advising) to support student financial needsIn collaboration with the packaging specialist, collect and verify financial aid documentation to complete student filesMaintain accurate records and perform timely data entry in university systemsCounsel students with high balances or delinquent accounts to identify additional financing solutionsRespond promptly to student inquiries and follow up to ensure resolutionParticipate in student registration and retention initiativesStay current with federal financial aid regulations and university policiesAttend training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement effortsMaintain a minimum of 80% 'ready time' on inbound phone queueSkillsAssociate's degree or equivalent experiencePossess a thorough understanding of Title IV funds, regulations, and eligibility requirementsExcellent phone, email, and face-to-face communication skills; maintains a positive attitudeProven ability to work effectively with all members of the financial aid team to improve student experienceExcellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and university systemsExceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detailEnergetic and goal-oriented; strong interest in working in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-taskingMust be in good standing on all federal student loans to access NSLDS.
