[Remote] Field / Project Engineer (Level I) - Heavy Industrial Construction

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is seeking a Field/Project Engineer for heavy industrial construction projects. The role involves assisting the Project Manager and Construction Manager with various project tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities • Assist the Project and Construction Managers with the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries – among other responsibilities. • Assist in P6 Scheduling • Assist in maintaining accurate timekeeping and cost records. • Assist with project planning – support the development and execution of the pre-job plan. Assist with determining the construction techniques to be used to construct the project. • Assist PM’s/CM’s with all job site reporting requirements, including daily reports, monthly updates to the construction schedule, etc. • Assist Project Managers with submittal of schedule, contract documents and company reporting requirements. • Attending all jobsite meetings • Maintain safety standards – monitor safety planning, execution, and documentation on assigned project. • Maintain quality consistent with company standards • Close out the project in compliance with the contract documents • Notifying the Superintendent for labor and material needs • Regular job site attendance required. • Other duties as assigned. Skills • 1-3 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer (will consider Project Coordinator) for EPC working in a Plant / Refinery environment • P6 Scheduling knowledge / experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Primavera – Procore & Bluebeam a PLUS) • Effective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening) • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks • Expected to mobilize to the project site for the duration of each construction project they are assigned to (project duration averages 6-18 months) • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR) • Self-starter with ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team • Strong problem evaluation/solving skills • Understanding of the project construction process for projects • Understanding of integrated EPC process • Understanding of construction means and methods • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with other team members • Strong organizational and time management skills Education Requirements • B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management Company Overview • LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS aims to bridge the gap between companies and the qualified candidates necessary to fill any position within an organization.
