[Remote] Environmental Inspector
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking qualified Environmental Inspectors for future project opportunities nationwide. These roles support a variety of environmental compliance and monitoring efforts on infrastructure, energy, and construction projects across the U.S.ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with environmental regulations for linear construction activitiesProject work may include Federal land management, oil and gas development, transportation, water resources, renewable energy, transmission/pipelines, mining, habitat restoration, wildfire monitoring, and watershed studiesSupervise installation and maintenance of BMPs, erosion control devices (ECDs), and environmental exclusion areas during constructionUse topographic maps, GPS units, aerial photographs, and other maps and tools in the fieldTake responsibility for team safety, develop safety plans (when applicable), and anticipate potential safety hazardsSkillsAt least 1 year of experience in environmental consulting inspection of linear construction projects requiredAble to inspect right-of-way and associated facilitiesFamiliar with soil erosion control and BMP installation and maintenanceFamiliar with agricultural mitigation plans/drain tile repairAble to work in remote areas, use ATVs or other four-wheel drive type vehiclesMust have a clean driving record and pass a background checkBenefitsWellness paid time offEmployee assistance programWellness program activitiesCompany OverviewSWCA is an environmental consulting firm.
