CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking an Enrollment Technician I to ensure accurate and timely enrollment of members into their systems. The role involves coordinating with various departments and handling member enrollment data while maintaining service excellence.ResponsibilitiesEnroll subscribers and dependents for all lines of business as requested via fax, U.S. mail, and/or e-mailVerify enrollment status, make changes to membership records, research and resolve enrollment system discrepancies, process membership terminations, and other forms of enrollment eventsComplete monthly reconciliation process and resolve discrepanciesCoordinate with the Account Installation team as it pertains to member identification card process to ensure cards are not released until all enrollment updates are completed and auditedCoordinate with the Billing Technician to ensure that all group enrollments are processed prior to running the monthly billSkillsHigh School Diploma or GEDLess than one year experience in membership enrollment, member services, billing, claims operations, and/or data analysisMust be able to work effectively in a team environmentMust be able to adapt swiftly to multiple and rapidly changing prioritiesMust be able to learn and comprehend details of client accounts, process flow diagrams, and health insurance enrollment softwareMust be able to work effectively with large amounts of member enrollment data, paying close attention to detail upon entering data into the appropriate CareFirst systemMust be able to use Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelMust be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellenceMust be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challengingMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without SponsorshipBenefitsComprehensive benefits packageVarious incentive programs/plans401k contribution programs/plansCompany OverviewCareFirst.
