Virtual Sign Language Interpreter
Location: Remote (Serving School Districtsin Nebraska)
Type: Contract / Full-Time(Flexible)
School Year: 20252026
Are you passionate about supporting deaf and hard of hearing studentsand looking to make a difference from wherever you are? We are partnering with multiple school districts across Nebraska to provide virtual Sign Language Interpreting services for the 20252026 school year.
How It Works:
ā¢ The student remains in the classroom with peers, equipped with a tablet.
ā¢ The classroom teacher wears a microphone to enhance clarity.
ā¢ You will interpret live via Zoom, allowing the student to fully engage in a general education setting while receiving real-time support.
Requirements:
ā¢ Fluent in ASL and experienced in educational interpreting
ā¢ Minimum 4.0EIPA Score
ā¢ RID/NIC certification or state credentials preferred
ā¢ Reliable internet connection and professional remote setup
Pay & Benefits:
ā¢ Highly competitive compensation$40+ (Negotiable based on experience)
ā¢ Work from Home - Fully Remote
ā¢ 10-99 independent contractor opportunity
ā¢ Flexible Schedule
Interview Process:
ā¢ 10-15 minute screening call with a VocoVision Recruiter
ā¢ Completion of VocoVision Tech Screening Assessment
ā¢ 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
ā¢ Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
