Remote Education Research Consultant (Former School Staff or PTA Preferred)

Are you a former school staff member, PTA board member, or someone who understands how public schools choose afterschool programs? We're looking for a part-time researcher or consultant to help us uncover how different school districts manage enrichment and afterschool activities — and identify the right pathways to offer our programs in their schools. This is a remote, flexible role that can grow with you. You’ll start as a paid consultant (hourly), and if it's a good fit, we’ll offer ongoing project-based work where you’ll earn a set rate per school district researched. What You’ll Do • Research how enrichment or afterschool programs are approved in specific school districts • Identify key decision-makers (e.g., enrichment coordinators, principals, PTA leaders) • Use AI tools (like ChatGPT) and a structured prompt we provide to guide your research • Summarize insights clearly in a shared document • Optional: Help shape outreach strategies or identify high-potential districts Who This Role is Perfect For We’re especially looking for people who have firsthand knowledge of how school districts work — whether from inside or through community involvement. You might be a: • Former or active PTA board member • Retired teacher, school administrator, or enrichment coordinator • Former vendor manager or program lead from YMCA, Right At School, or similar • Public policy or education student with a strong grasp of school systems What You’ll Need • Familiarity with how public schools or districts operate • Strong research and online search skills • Clear written communication • Comfort using AI tools (or willingness to learn — we provide a prompt) • Bonus: Any experience working directly with afterschool programs or vendor onboarding Compensation & Structure • Initial phase: Hourly consulting rate ($35–$40/hr depending on experience) • Ongoing work: Paid per completed district report (rate varies by complexity) • Fully remote, flexible hours — work from anywhere Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 20 per week Benefits: • Employee discount • Flexible schedule Schedule: • Choose your own hours Work Location: Remote Apply Job!
