[Remote] Director of Motion Planning & Prediction (Autonomous Vehicles)

Work Vista is hiring on behalf of a global leader in autonomous driving technology for a senior technical leadership role within their Behaviors team. This position focuses on building and scaling machine learning–driven behavior and motion planning systems for Level 4 autonomous vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and comfortably in complex environments. Responsibilities • Define and execute motion planning and prediction initiatives that improve autonomous vehicle performance in complex traffic scenarios • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team • Design and oversee the implementation of behavior models using modern machine learning, generative AI, and reinforcement learning techniques • Deploy and productionize ML solutions across autonomous vehicle platforms and fleets • Collaborate with perception, simulation, data platform, and systems integration teams • Communicate technical strategy, progress, and risks to senior and executive stakeholders Skills • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex technical initiatives • Proven people leadership and engineering management experience • Strong experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch • Proficiency in Python, including standard scientific computing libraries • Experience designing, developing, and deploying ML systems for autonomous vehicles, robotics, or related domains • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (design, version control, testing, code reviews, and build systems) • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience with embedded systems and real-time optimization • Experience with generative AI and/or reinforcement learning methods • Research publications or contributions in relevant conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICML, NeurIPS, ICCV) • Proficiency in C++ and/or CUDA Benefits • Health coverage • Retirement savings options • Paid time off • Additional benefits in accordance with local regulations Company Overview • JobLift Media is a performance-driven recruitment-marketing studio helping companies amplify their talent reach through creative media, precision targeting, and employer-brand storytelling.
