[Remote] Derivatives Attorney
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Axiom is a pioneer in the alternative legal services industry, seeking a Derivatives Counsel to join their Financial Services team. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice on derivatives and OTC trading, ensuring compliance and facilitating seamless transactions for clients.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, Master Confirmation Agreements, Term Commitment Agreements, Account Control Agreements, and other derivatives trading documents
ā¢ Providing legal guidance on derivatives transactions, collateral management, and OTC trading compliance
ā¢ Collaborating with trading desks, Front Office, Legal, Compliance, and Credit teams on derivatives transactions and regulatory initiatives
ā¢ Managing legal, risk, and compliance issues for clients in the derivatives and financial services sector
ā¢ Staying ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and global derivatives rules to provide proactive counsel
Skills
ā¢ 2+ years of experience in derivatives, capital markets, or trading documentation legal work
ā¢ Strong knowledge of ISDA agreements, CSA, and global OTC derivatives regulations
ā¢ Proven track record of advising clients on derivatives documentation and regulatory compliance
ā¢ Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills
ā¢ Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law; New York Bar admission preferred
ā¢ Experience with prime brokerage documentation, account control agreements, and regulatory initial margin requirements
ā¢ Familiarity with cross-border derivatives regulations including U.S. Dodd-Frank, EMIR, UK, Canadian, and Singapore frameworks
ā¢ Comfortable supporting global trading operations and multiple time zones
