Remote Dental Insurance & Billing Specialist (Contract Position)

We are currently expanding to a Insurance and Billing Department and are seeking a motivated dental professional to help support the insurance side of our consulting services.
Our team works remotely to support dental offices with insurance verification, claims follow up, and revenue cycle support.
ā¢ *Position Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Eligibility and Insurance AR Specialist with hands on experience working insurance aging and verifying dental benefits in Dentrix or similar dental software. Dependable and detail oriented **Remote Dental Insurance Eligibility and AR Specialist** to support a dental practice with **insurance eligibility verification and insurance accounts receivable follow up**.
ā¢ *The primary focus of this specific role will be to**
ā¢ **Verifying patient insurance coverage**
ā¢ **Working on Ins. AR**
ā¢ **This will be for a practice with PPO insurance**
This is a **remote independent contractor position with consistent work available**. As our consulting company grows and we add more dental practices, this role has the opportunity to expand into additional responsibilities such as **insurance posting and expanded billing support**.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our company as we continue to build our Insurance and Billing Department.
ā¢ *Primary Responsibilities**
ā¢ Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
ā¢ Review patient coverage details including frequencies, limitations, and remaining benefits
ā¢ Work insurance aging and follow up on outstanding insurance claims
ā¢ Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues, denials, and delays
ā¢ Document all claim follow up and insurance communications accurately
ā¢ Maintain organized and accurate insurance notes within the practice management system
ā¢ *Future Responsibilities as the Department Grows**
As Dental Practice Solutions continues to expand and onboard additional dental practices, responsibilities may grow to include:
ā¢ Posting insurance payments and patient payments
ā¢ Entering adjustments based on EOBs
ā¢ Submitting and tracking insurance claims
ā¢ Assisting with accounts receivable and insurance billing support
ā¢ *Software Experience**
ā¢ Dentrix preferred
ā¢ Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus
ā¢ Experience working with dental practice management software
ā¢ *Qualifications**
ā¢ Previous experience working with dental insurance eligibility and insurance billing
ā¢ Strong understanding of dental insurance benefits, frequencies, and limitations
ā¢ Experience with insurance claim follow up and accounts receivable
ā¢ Familiarity with EOBs and insurance claim resolution
ā¢ Strong attention to detail and organization
ā¢ Ability to work independently in a remote environment
ā¢ Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace
ā¢ *Compensation**
This is an **independent contractor (1099) position**.
Starting compensation: **$1,500 per month**
