[Remote] Data Scientist - Pyspark & Databricks

Responsibilities • Work hands-on with Python, PySpark, and Databricks to process and analyze large datasets. • Develop, refine, and deploy models and dashboards that guide strategic and financial decisions. • Apply statistical methods, forecasting, and machine learning to understand customer behavior. • Support cross-functional initiatives by delivering insights that enhance customer experiences and business outcomes. • Embrace a collaborative culture rooted in humility, curiosity, and impact. • Learn while doing, applying best practices in data science in real-time business scenarios. Skills • 0–3 years of experience in data analysis, modeling, or related roles. • Proficiency with statistical software and database query languages. • Experience with Python data libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Matplotlib). • Knowledge of PySpark and cloud-based data environments. • Familiarity with statistical frameworks including frequentist and Bayesian methods, forecasting, causal inference, and NLP. • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions. • Proficiency with version control systems is preferred. Education Requirements • Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent hands-on experience. • PhD in a quantitative field is a plus.
