Position Overview – Data Protection & Privacy Analyst (Remote – Alaska) Our Digital Technology group is on the hunt for a meticulous, security‑focused Data Protection & Privacy Analyst to join the Data Entry team. This role is fully remote (based in Alaska) and offers a competitive rate of $26 per hour . You will be a key player in safeguarding sensitive passenger and operational data, ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to embed privacy by design into every digital solution. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed data entry and validation tasks for privacy‑related datasets, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness. Monitor and enforce data protection policies across all digital platforms, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT security teams to interpret and implement GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other regional privacy requirements. Conduct risk assessments and privacy impact analyses (PIAs) for new product initiatives and system upgrades. Maintain and configure privacy tools and vendor solutions, such as data masking, anonymization, and consent management platforms. Develop and deliver clear, concise privacy documentation, including data flows, retention schedules, and breach response playbooks. Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on best practices for data handling, secure storage, and incident reporting. Participate in incident response, including root‑cause analysis, remediation planning, and post‑incident reviews. Stay current on emerging privacy regulations, industry trends, and cyber‑security threats to proactively adjust Hirezen’s privacy posture. Support the broader Digital Technology team in building scalable, privacy‑centric architecture for next‑generation airline services. Essential Qualifications (Minimum Requirements) A bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related STEM field. Three or more years of professional experience in a data‑centric or privacy‑focused role. Strong understanding of data protection and privacy legislation at local, national, and international levels. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex privacy concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences. Proven ability to work in fast‑paced environments, meet strict deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Demonstrated reliability and punctuality—critical traits for remote collaboration. Preferred Qualifications (What Sets You Apart) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent security certification. Experience with Security+ certification concepts.
