Job Summary: We're looking for a talented individual to lead the creation, maintenance, and rollout of our Data Governance Capabilities. You will be responsible for workflows, standards, processes, recommendations, and suggestions required to make our data governance capabilities a reality. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to enable data governance and data quality standards, and work with our Data Governance Executive Committee to define and monitor key metrics and KPIs. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of Data Governance Capabilities, including Data Literacy, Data Stewardship, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, and Data as an Asset Collaborate with stakeholders to enable data governance and data quality standards across the enterprise Work with the Data Governance Executive Committee to define and monitor key metrics and KPIs Research, review, and recommend new software and technologies to support data governance capabilities Act as the Product Owner for Capability Products and be the spokesperson and chief marketer for the capability Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Governance Experience implementing one or more Data Governance Capabilities in an organization Experience developing and tracking metrics to determine adoption/success of data governance capabilities Experience working with Business Intelligence products, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses Experience working with sensitive data and relevant regulatory requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field Preferred Qualifications: Change management experience identifying downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting Experience automating data governance processes/workflows using market-leading data governance products Detailed experience delivering data governance artifacts, including data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data movement controls, and data element degree data best controls Experience as a Data Steward, performing as a data expert, auditing, and reviewing data access, and performing as a product owner for a data product or data domain Experience working in Agile and DevOps frameworks Airline, Aviation, Travel, and/or Hospitality experience Skills and Certifications: Working knowledge of SQL Strong understanding of Data and Analytical standards Data Governance certifications, such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional) Ability to bridge the communication gap by translating technical governance standards to the business Ability to be flexible in an evolving work model and able to pivot without issues on areas of focus Ability to manage projects and teams from idea generation through execution What We Offer: Competitive salary: $35/hour Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, prescription, dental, and vision 401(k) plan with company contributions Travel perks, including travel privileges for you, your family, and friends across the American Airlines network Well-being programs, including resources, events, and support for your physical, financial, and emotional well-being Education Foundation, including higher education scholarship grants for eligible dependents Family support, including emergency assistance from the Family Fund for you and your family in times of need Deals and discounts on hundreds of products and services Fly Higher Learning, including programs and online learning platforms to support your professional development Paid Time Off, including paid parental care leave, paid vacation leave, and more Join Our Team: If you're a motivated individual ready to contribute to a thriving team, we encourage you to apply now!
