Position Overview
We are looking for a focused and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to continuously update and maintain our company's databases. In this role, you will serve as a crucial link in our information infrastructure, ensuring that data is captured accurately, updated promptly, and maintained in a clean, organized manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent typing skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication with team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry & Management: Perform high-volume data entry tasks accurately and efficiently into our electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other databases as required. Ensure all information is entered in a timely manner to maintain up-to-date records.
Information Preparation: Prepare and organize information for data entry by reviewing source documents, verifying completeness, and formatting data according to established guidelines and standards.
Data Verification: Review and verify all data prior to entry for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify and correct any errors, and promptly bring them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary.
Application Processing: Perform data entry of new applications, ensuring all required fields are completed accurately and processed within established timelines.
Credit Entry: Handle data entry of credits, maintaining precise records of all financial transactions and credits applied to customer accounts.
Communication & Coordination: Liaise with and follow up with employees within the company as well as with customers to collect necessary information and clarify any discrepancies in data.
Quality Assurance: Perform daily audits of entered data to identify inconsistencies or errors. Implement corrective measures and document all corrections made.
File Management: Ensure timely data entry and proper file management, maintaining organized digital filing systems that are easily accessible for future reference.
Device Operation: Operate various data entry devices including keyboards, scanners, and other input devices to perform keypunching, data entry, and verification duties.
Training Support: Assist in training new data entry employees on computer systems and data entry procedures as needed.
Administrative Support: Perform routine clerical and administrative functions related to data entry, including faxing, document preparation, and general office support.
Process Improvement: Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


Essential Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field is a plus
Strong typing skills with a minimum accuracy rate of 90% or higher
Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
