[Remote] Data Engineer/Enterprise Architect II

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BCforward is seeking a Data Engineer/Enterprise Architect II to work remotely in EST timings. This role serves as a senior technical and strategic leader responsible for aligning IT investments with business strategy through enterprise-level architecture, focusing on data platform modernization and providing technical leadership in data architecture and cloud platforms. Responsibilities • Lead current-state and bolthires-state enterprise/data architecture • Translate business needs into IT investment strategies and roadmaps • Drive architecture tradeoff analysis, bolthires estimation, and ROI discussions • Provide technical direction for data at rest, in motion, and consumption • Present architecture recommendations to executive and technical audiences • Act as a trusted advisor across business, data, and engineering teams • Resolve conflicts related to scope, platforms, and architectural approach • Support proofs of concept and modernization initiatives • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture governance and committees Skills • 5+ years as an Enterprise Architect or senior individual contributor • Proven leadership in data-centric modernization programs • Employee Benefits domain experience • Hands-on expertise with Snowflake (implementation and value optimization) • Informatica IDMC • Informatica PowerCenter / CDI-PC • Strong skills in architecture modeling & documentation • Roadmapping and bolthires estimation (including cloud forecasts) • Executive-level communication and influence • Certification in TOGAF, FEA, Zachman, or similar EA framework • Experience operating within architecture governance bodies • Ability to balance enterprise standards with pragmatic delivery • Comfort challenging ideas and defending architectural decisions • Strong understanding of organizational dynamics and change management Company Overview • BCforward is an information technology consulting and staffing firm.It was founded in 1998, and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, with a workforce of 5001-10000 employees.
