[Remote] Data Engineer with SQl Server, ADF, SSRI

Princeton IT Services, Inc is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data integration and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and SSRS, focusing on designing efficient ETL pipelines and delivering actionable insights through reporting and analytics. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF). • Build and optimize data pipelines to support analytics and business reporting needs. • Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance. • Create, modify, and manage reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). • Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions. • Implement and maintain data quality checks, data governance, and documentation. • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across ETL and reporting systems. • Work with Azure cloud services for data storage, transformation, and orchestration. Skills • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role. • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server – database design, optimization, and T-SQL programming. • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT workflows. • Proficiency in SSRS for report development and deployment. • Experience integrating data from multiple sources and systems. • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git. • Experience with Power BI or other BI visualization tools. • Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Data Lake. • Exposure to Python or Scala for data transformation tasks. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
