In this role, you will be a pivotal member of a product development team dedicated to building innovative web and mobile software solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading data migrations, ensuring data quality, and developing robust backend data movement processes. By collaborating with other engineers, you will help streamline the flow of data across systems while upholding the highest standards for speed and quality. This opportunity allows you to make a direct impact in a service-oriented environment, enhancing both functionality and reliability in production systems.

Responsibilities
• Design and execute data migrations between systems, including source-to-target mapping, transformations, validation and reconciliation, and resolving data quality issues.
• Build and maintain production data movement services and scripts, primarily using Python.
• Develop and support backend pipelines, APIs, and internal data management tools.
• Collaborate with engineers to manage end-to-end migration processes: from design and deployment to testing, monitoring, and support.
• Contribute to migration test strategy, automation, and performance improvements.

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience shipping production software solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly for delivering production pipelines and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with data migrations in production environments.
• Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong data modeling skills, including schema analysis and complex query writing.
• Familiarity with JSON, REST APIs, and data validation tools.
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience using Git for version control in collaborative environments.
