About the Role:
As a Data Engineer on our Content Statistics team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, and developing data models that drive insights and inform decision-making. You'll work closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to bridge the gap between data engineering and business outcomes, enabling data-driven decisions that empower our content teams to create and acquire the best content for our subscribers.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data models that drive insights
Work closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to inform content decisions
Develop and maintain data pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Flank, and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query)
Write complex SQL and develop data orchestration frameworks using Python and other programming languages
Requirements:
Strong data engineering skills, with experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines
Professional data modeling skills, with expertise in data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
Experience with distributed data processing technologies (e.g., Spark, Flank) and cloud-based data warehouses
Fluent in Python, with experience in automation and data orchestration frameworks
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
