[Remote] Cybersecurity Assessor (CMMC) | $120K–$170K DOE | Remote

This role involves leading cybersecurity assessment engagements and mentoring team members while developing assessment tools and frameworks. Responsibilities • Lead full lifecycle cybersecurity assessment engagements: planning, execution, reporting, remediation guidance, and certification recommendations. • Serve as primary contact for clients and senior stakeholders. • Mentor and guide assessors, auditors, and consultants to ensure high-quality, consistent deliverables. • Develop and maintain assessment tools, playbooks, and frameworks. • Identify control gaps and risks, collaborating with clients on POA&Ms and remediation tracking. • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership. Skills • 3+ years’ experience performing assessments under NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FedRAMP, or CMMC. • Tier 3 DoD background determination (required). • A CMMC CCP or CCA certification. • Strong understanding of cybersecurity controls, assessment methodology, and audit criteria. • Experience leading client engagements and delivering results working to deadlines. • Strong communication skills and experience working in 3-5 person project teams.
