[Remote] Customs Trade Agent - Remote Dallas

The role involves coordinating documentation for US Customs and Government Agencies for the importation of goods, ensuring compliance with international importing regulations while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Provide impeccable customer service
ā¢ Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from database, SOP's, tariff book, internet or customs
ā¢ Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to US Customs and may handle limited PGA's (participating Government Agencies)
ā¢ Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with all record keeping requirements
ā¢ Adhere to all international importing regulations
ā¢ Work closely with other internal staff and departments to deliver high level of service to customers
ā¢ Process agency brokerage shipments
ā¢ Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed
ā¢ Performs other duties as assigned. Paid Training Provided
Skills
ā¢ HS Diploma or GED required
ā¢ No industry experience required
ā¢ No work experience required
ā¢ Data entry/keyboard experience required
ā¢ Required - MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner)
ā¢ Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
ā¢ Organizational Skills
ā¢ Inter-personal skills
ā¢ Handle high volume of work
ā¢ Handle time sensitive work
ā¢ Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
