Position Overview: Remote Customer Service Representative

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be the frontline ambassador for our client's brand, delivering exceptional support to customers via inbound telephone calls. This is a remote position, meaning you'll handle customer inquiries from your home office while adhering to strict professional standards and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of customer service tasks, including:


Professionally handling inbound customer inquiries and concerns with empathy and efficiency
Accurately documenting and inputting all account information into our client's system to ensure data integrity
Providing detailed, clear explanations of account status and addressing customer questions comprehensively
Adhering to all State and Federal regulations governing your job duties, maintaining compliance at all times
Assisting customers with delinquent accounts in accordance with various state guidelines and best practices
Proactively identifying opportunities to discuss additional products and services with customers on qualified calls
Demonstrating exceptional communication skills to achieve both client and customer goals simultaneously
Maintaining thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and product offerings
Participating actively in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing development opportunities
Contributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting colleagues when needed

Inbound Handle Time: Maintain an average handle time that meets or exceeds department targets while ensuring quality customer interactions
Quality Assurance Goals: Consistently achieve high scores on quality monitoring evaluations, demonstrating adherence to scripts, procedures, and professional communication standards

Attendance & Punctuality: Maintain exemplary shift attendance and be punctual for all scheduled shifts, including training sessions

Work Schedule & Availability

Please note the following schedule requirements for this position:


Training Period: Paid training begins Wednesday, April 17, 2024
Training Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (approximately 2 weeks of classroom training plus 1 week of nesting/coaching)
Regular Hours (Post-Training): 7:00 AM – 7:00 EST, with rotating schedules within this window
On-Call Requirement: All agents will be assigned one on-call week each month to assist with outage support
Schedule Flexibility: Must be able to work a varying schedule within the stated hours to meet business needs

Essential Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
Capacity to meet strict deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional, courteous demeanor
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with external parties
Strong call handling skills and the ability to de-escalate tense situations
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to learn and adapt to new software applications quickly
Unwavering commitment to shift attendance and punctuality
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications


One to two years of experience working in a call center environment
Previous experience in customer service, sales, or support roles
Familiarity with CRM systems and telephone routing systems
Understanding of state and federal regulations related to consumer accounts
Experience with delinquent account management or collections


Technical Requirements for Remote Positions

To ensure you can perform your duties effectively from home, you must meet the following technical requirements:


Internet Connection: Broadband internet connection (DSL or dial-up connections are not acceptable)
Connection Type: Hardwired connection required – Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi hotspots are not permitted due to reliability and security concerns
Minimum Speed: Speed test results must show at least 25 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload
Equipment: You must have a dedicated workspace free from distractions and background noise
Camera: Cameras must be on during training from start to end of each shift (not including breaks and lunches) to ensure engagement and participation
