[Remote] CTO - AI Prompt Library & Community (Prom.dev)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pioneer Square Labs is a premier startup studio backing Prom.dev, a platform for AI builders to create and share prompts. The CTO will be a founding technologist responsible for shaping the product vision, architecting systems, and leading the engineering team. Responsibilities • Be the CEO’s thought partner on product direction, technical vision, and long-term strategy. You’ll shape the company as much as the codebase • Translate our product vision into a roadmap you actually believe in and can deliver on • Build the core of Prom.dev: architect systems, ship features, write production-quality code regularly • Engage deeply with our community of builders and prompt designers; what they care about should shape what we build • Recruit, hire, and lead our engineering team as we scale (you’ll help set the culture and the bar) Skills • 3+ years of software engineering experience • Excited about AI, LLM prompting, and early-stage product creation • Love to build in the open • Problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and early-stage environments where nothing is 'someone else's job' • Hungry for responsibility, ownership, and the chance to build a category-defining company people talk about • Open-source or community-led project experience is a major plus Company Overview • Pioneer Square Labs is a studio that creates and launches technology startups.
