[Remote] Corporate Responsibility Counsel-Remote, USA

The Corporate Responsibility Counsel will serve as the company’s expert on corporate responsibility and compliance, developing policies and providing guidance on legal matters related to environmental protection and corporate governance. Responsibilities • Advise the company’s sales, procurement, distribution, and corporate functional teams on all aspects of compliance with international rules on fair competition, prevention of corruption and money laundering, sanctioned entities and countries, trade regulation, and supply chain transparency • Develop and implement comprehensive policies and programs (including training programs) to promote compliance with the international rules identified above and conduct, or provide legal input and support for, internal investigations on compliance matters • Working with outside counsel as necessary, provide timely and practical legal advice on compliance with federal and state or provincial laws protecting the environment, occupational health, and public and worker safety • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of corporate responsibility policies and programs, partner with Internal Audit to conduct audits to identify trends, and report to the company and Audit Committee on progress and improvement opportunities • Monitor legislation, case law, and government enforcement activity relating to corporate responsibility issues and provide proactive, strategic advice to internal stakeholders • Assist the Chief Legal Officer with corporate secretarial duties • Assist with corporate and financing transactions and other special projects Skills • Active US state bar membership in good standing • 8+ years of experience with advising on international compliance • Ability to analyze complex and evolving international laws, and apply findings to provide practical, effective counsel • Ability to collaborate effectively across business functions and at various levels of the organization • Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism • Flexibility for up to 25% business-related travel • Experience with advising on corporate responsibility and compliance for midsize international manufacturing company • Experience with advising on compliance with federal and state or provincial laws protecting the environment, occupational health, and public and worker safety Benefits • Health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance • Retirement savings options including employer match • Education Assistance Company Overview • At KIK Consumer Products, we bring exceptional brands and products to consumers that help them protect the health and wellness of their families, the cleanliness of their homes and pools.
