Remote Copywriter, Proofreader, & QA Specialist
We are currently seeking a candidate with a distinctive skill set to enhance our client projects with creativity and precision. As a Copywriter, you will collaborate with the Creative team on content strategy, ensuring that copy fulfills both corporate and client business objectives and adheres to brand standards. In the role of Proofreader & QA Specialist, you will elevate creative quality and accuracy through meticulous attention to detail, proofreading skills, and QA expertise. The ideal candidate will learn client style and tone of voice while advocating for innovative ideas and SEO/copy best practices. This person will also lead the proofreading and quality assurance of various client marketing deliverables, including emails, landing pages, social media posts, digital ads, and other marketing materials. We seek someone with a consistent and critical perspective from the project's inception to its completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the creative team through conceptual ideation and copy development.
• Produce copy for a range of media: print, digital, social, and web, involving subject lines, headlines, subheads, body copy, CTAs, and alt text.
• Take ownership of your work, including conducting research, fact-checking, proofreading, and seeking assistance when necessary.
• Present work to managers to ensure concepts and copy align strategically with the brand and brief, including messaging, voice, and tone.
• Communicate clearly and pose insightful questions to other team members.
• Develop copy that strategically supports a concept, whether it is emotional, educational, inspiring, entertaining, etc.
• Accept and integrate feedback and criticism to refine copy until the client is satisfied.
• Proofread concepts, drafts, and final deliverables to ensure they are accurate, error-free, and consistent with clients' brand guidelines and stylistic conventions.
• Review grammar, spelling, and punctuation; identify errors and inconsistencies; make corrections, and propose revisions.
• Pay special attention to recognizing and correcting inconsistencies in copy, design, and style across versions and rounds.
