[Remote] Controller M&A Consultant

The role involves hands-on post-acquisition accounting integration, focusing on converting entities to accrual-based GAAP financials and aligning them with the parent company's reporting standards. Responsibilities • Support post-acquisition accounting integration for newly acquired businesses • Convert acquired entities from cash basis to accrual accounting • Align charts of accounts with the parent company structure • Prepare standardized financials for consolidation • Improve consistency, accuracy, and visibility of acquired company reporting • Act as a hands-on accounting partner to advisory leadership and client finance teams Skills • Strong accounting background; Controller-level experience preferred • Hands-on post-acquisition integration experience in the mid-market • Experience converting entities from cash basis to accrual / GAAP accounting • Ability to standardize and realign charts of accounts • Background in PE-backed, roll-up, or M&A-heavy environments • CPA strongly preferred • Experience in residential services, commercial services, or other labor-intensive 'blue collar' industries • Prior consulting or interim project experience • Familiarity with multi-entity or recurring revenue business models Company Overview • Finance, Technology, and HR focused Executive Search and Interim Consulting Firm It was founded in 2012, and is headquartered in Glendale, California, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
