Job Description:
We're seeking a proactive and skilled Control Systems Engineer Manager to join our team. As a key member of our fulfillment center operations, you will focus on maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance, ensuring seamless customer experiences. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks, and electrical distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Direct and plan work activities for Control Systems Specialists/Leads to achieve objectives and goals
Collaborate with engineering operations, project engineering, and other teams to support MHE systems optimization and project execution
Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks
Monitor MHE metrics and collaborate with maintenance/operations to resolve system performance issues
Provide first-level escalation support for Control Systems Specialists/Leads, including troubleshooting and repairing hardware or controls software systems
Mentor Control Systems Specialists (CST) and Control Systems Leads (CSL) within your assigned facility
Apply technical expertise to maximize building utilization of systems and perform system evaluations to assess material handling system performance

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
3+ years of equivalent professional experience
Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/locations, including weekends, evenings, or holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electrical theory, automation, controls components, and automated equipment
Experience with HMI and control network components, including programming and design
Experience with motor controls, including motor starters, variable frequency drives, and standard electrical components
Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs
Leadership experience and ability to lead others in a technical role
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
