Remote Contract Project Manager - PMP Certified - State NC

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager with PMP certification for a one-year contract opportunity. This remote position requires availability during core business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM EST, with a mandatory one-hour lunch break. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing projects for the HIEA in collaboration with SAS project managers and subcontracted J2 developers. Key Responsibilities • Oversee the project management lifecycle to ensure that deliverables align with established schedules, budgets, and scope. • Schedule and facilitate the review and approval of critical project artifacts, including abstracts, statements of work, project plans, risk logs, and design documentation. • Monitor the timely delivery and updates of these artifacts in accordance with contractual obligations. • Collaborate with SAS project managers to create high-level project tracking dashboards and status reports. • Participate in operational meetings, ensuring task completion is on schedule. • Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, providing effective communication and collaboration. • Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), including KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives. • Utilize project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow, MS Planner, and Asana to track progress and ensure project goals are met. • Maintain alignment with the agency's strategic business vision, mission, and priorities. Required Skills • Proven project management expertise with a focus on lifecycle management and collaboration. • Proficiency in project management applications including MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow, MS Planner, and Asana. • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills. • Thorough understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and project documentation. • Strong organizational and task management capabilities. Qualifications • PMP Certification is mandatory. • Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in managing project lifecycles and coordinating with diverse teams. • A relevant degree in a related field is preferred.
