Remote, Contract, Part Time Family Law Attorney - Tampa, FL Area

Duties • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child and spousal support, post-judgment issues, dependency, and domestic violence • Develop and execute legal strategies tailored to each client’s goals, case facts, and applicable law • Prepare for and conduct court proceedings, including evidentiary hearings and trials • Lead and participate in mediations and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes • Draft and supervise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, contracts, and settlement agreements • Conduct legal research and case analysis to support litigation and settlement strategies • Meet with clients to discuss case progress, evaluate options, and determine next steps • Communicate proactively with clients regarding significant developments • Collaborate with internal staff and external professionals, including expert witnesses, to support case outcomes • Assign and oversee work performed by legal support staff to ensure quality and timeliness • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards • Provide MLG staff with copies of all client-provided and attorney-drafted documents • Track billable time and value delivered to clients in accordance with firm policies • Participate in bi-weekly case review meetings with firm leadership to assess strategy, support needs, and payment status • Contribute to firm performance by meeting or exceeding key metrics and expectations Qualifications • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school • Active membership in the Florida Bar Association • At least 3 years of experience practicing family law • Willingness to travel to Tampa and St. Petersburg courts as needed or relocate • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and time management abilities • Empathy, discretion, and professionalism in sensitive client matters ABOUT MAYERSOHN LAW GROUP, P.A.
