Remote Construction Estimator (Part-Time or Per Project)
About Us:
A & O General Contractor LLC is a licensed, insured, and NY-certified home remodeling and construction company based in Queens, NY. We are registered vendors with NYCHA, NYPA, MTA, and NYS Contract Reporter, and we specialize in residential and light commercial remodeling, drywall, HVAC, plumbing, and restoration projects.
We’re scaling up and looking for an experienced Remote Construction Estimator to work Remotely
Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, plans, and bid documents
Prepare accurate takeoffs, pricing, and cost breakdowns
Prepare bid forms, scope clarifications, and supporting documents
Track public bid deadlines (NYCHA, NYPA, etc.)
Collaborate with the Project Manager to fine-tune winning strategies
Optional: Use RSMeans, PlanSwift, or Excel-based tools
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in residential/commercial estimating
Familiarity with NY public bids a major plus (NYCHA, NYPA, NYC SBS)
Must be detail-oriented, self-managed, and able to meet deadlines
Strong communication and spreadsheet skills
Able to work per-bid or retainer-based
