[Remote] Commercial Title Examiner (Remote) (VT, NH, RI)

The Commercial Title Examiner will search public records and examine titles for commercial properties, determining legal conditions and resolving issues related to title documentation.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Performs title examination and examines the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, primarily commercial within Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island
ā¢ Abstracts and analyzes records, such as leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plot and map books. Determines ownership and legal restrictions to verify legal description of property and completeness of records that may cross county lines
ā¢ Resolves most issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate or contradictory information contained in the title documentation
ā¢ Prepares initial title commitment documentation based on the application of procedural guidelines
ā¢ Prepares and reviews reports for accuracy
ā¢ May provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines
ā¢ Other duties as assigned
Skills
ā¢ High School Diploma or equivalent
ā¢ 3+ years directly related experience
ā¢ State license(s) if required
ā¢ Detail / quality orientation
ā¢ Analytical review skills
ā¢ Research skills
ā¢ Strong problem solving skills
ā¢ Communication skills, both verbal and written
ā¢ Customer service orientation
ā¢ Standard MS skill set
ā¢ Proficient with company operating systems
