Remote Cloud Security Engineer with AWS/GCP and Identity Access Management (IAM) Focus

Job Summary The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled Remote Cloud Security Engineer specializing in AWS, GCP, and Identity Access Management (IAM) to join our innovative cloud infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure cloud environments across multiple platforms while ensuring compliance with the highest security standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in cloud security, IAM solutions, encryption, and threat mitigation strategies, with a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring system integrity. Key Responsibilities • * Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructures across AWS and GCP platforms. • * Develop and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, roles, and permissions to safeguard cloud resources. • * Monitor cloud environments for security breaches, incidents, and unauthorized access, taking immediate corrective action. • * Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and remediate potential threats. • * Integrate automation tools and security frameworks to streamline compliance and security management. • * Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to ensure secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native applications. • * Maintain and enforce data protection, encryption, and privacy standards across all cloud environments. • * Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud security configurations, procedures, and incident reports. • * Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in cloud security. • Required Skills and Qualifications • * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field. • * Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer, Cloud Architect, or Security Specialist in AWS and/or GCP environments. • * Strong knowledge of IAM frameworks, RBAC, SSO, MFA, and OAuth 2.0. • * Expertise in cloud compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or CIS Benchmarks. • * Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and security scripting. • * Hands-on experience with AWS Security Hub, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, GCP Security Command Center, and similar tools. • * Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevSecOps pipelines. • * Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, or CEH preferred. • Experience • * 3–6 years of hands-on experience in cloud security engineering or related roles. • * Demonstrated success in designing and managing secure cloud architectures for large-scale organizations. • * Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud deployments is a strong plus. • Working Hours • * This is a remote full-time position with flexible working hours. • * Core collaboration hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (GMT or as per project requirement). • * Occasional availability required for urgent incident response or global team coordination. • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • * Deep understanding of cloud networking, access control, and encryption protocols. • * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. • * Excellent communication and documentation abilities for technical and non-technical audiences. • * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. • * Strategic thinker with a commitment to continuous improvement and cybersecurity awareness. • Benefits • * Fully remote work environment with flexible scheduling. • * Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses. • * Comprehensive health insurance, wellness programs, and paid time off. • * Opportunities for professional certifications and training reimbursements. • * Access to cutting-edge tools and resources to support innovation. • * Collaborative, growth-oriented, and inclusive work culture. • Why Join The Elite Job At The Elite Job, we believe in empowering professionals to excel in a digital-first world.
