[Remote] Claims Examiner

As a Claims Examiner, you will review claims, determine coverage, and communicate outcomes to customers, ensuring timely and accurate service.ResponsibilitiesReview submitted claims to identify the incident, determine applicable coverage based on policy terms, and calculate eligible benefits for reimbursementApprove or deny claims in accordance with the terms and conditions of the insurance agreementCommunicate claim outcomes to customers via letter, email, or phone once a decision has been reachedRespond to incoming customer inquiries (phone or email) regarding claim status, documentation, or general informationAccurately document claim determinations, notes, and actions in PeopleSoft following established guidelinesCollaborate with internal departments to obtain or verify missing or unclear claim informationInvestigate inconsistencies and escalate complex or questionable claims to the Team LeaderSend out claim forms to new customers as neededWork effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical useSkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredA strong desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term career with usStrong attention to detail and solid organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environmentPrevious claims processing experience is a plus but not requiredFamiliarity with PeopleSoft or similar claims management systems is a plusBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings plansPaid time offOther employee programsCompany OverviewAllianz Partners is a financial service company that provides insurance services.
