[Remote] Civil Engineer (Solar/Renewable Energy)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join a client in the Renewables space. The role involves designing plans for large utility companies and managing civil design for renewable energy projects, including site layout and regulatory approvals. Responsibilities • Designing plans for large utility companies • Lead and support civil design for renewable energy projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, and stormwater management • Manage municipal site plan and zoning approval processes for renewable energy developments • Prepare erosion and sediment control plans and coordinate regulatory submittals with county and state agencies • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software such as HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS Skills • B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering related major • 5-15 years' experience in engineering design for energy-related projects • Experience with renewable energy projects, preferably solar in utility-scale and distribution generation projects • Experience leading the erosion and sediment control plan approval process for renewable projects through the county and state regulatory processes • Professional Engineering License is preferred • Experience leading the site plan and zoning approval processes for renewable projects at the municipal level, preferred Company Overview • Insight Global provides top talent and staffing solutions that help job seekers find careers in healthcare, finance, IT, and government.
