About the Role As a Remote Chat Moderator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our official Discord server remains a welcoming and respectful hub for our community. This part-time, flexible position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of community guidelines, and the ability to make swift and fair decisions. Key Responsibilities Moderating Chat Content: Review and manage user-generated content on our Discord server, removing messages that violate our community rules and guidelines. Enforcing Community Standards: Issue warnings, mute, or ban users who repeatedly breach our rules, maintaining a fair and consistent approach. Investigating User Reports: Examine reports from users regarding potential rule violations, taking prompt and appropriate action. Maintaining a Positive Community Environment: Foster a culture of respect and inclusivity, encouraging users to adhere to our community standards. Essential Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of community moderation principles and practices. Ability to work independently in a remote setting. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in community moderation or a related field. Familiarity with Discord and other social media platforms. Knowledge of programming languages and online community dynamics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
