[Remote] Camera and Computer Vision Development Intern (PICO) - 2026 Summer (PhD)

They are seeking a Camera and Computer Vision Development Intern to work with engineers and scientists in enhancing AI perception capabilities through hardware and software technologies. Responsibilities • Explore groundbreaking hardware and software technologies to significantly enhance AI perception capabilities • Conduct image acquisition, analysis, and algorithm development • Develop and train machine vision models Skills • Currently Pursuing PhD degree in Computer Science, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) • Strong programming skills with experience in computer vision • Excellent communication skills; highly self-driven with strong teamwork abilities • Hardware development experiences in cameras, lidars, imaging technologies and systems • Research experience in the following areas: Machine Vision, Image Quality Analysis, Visual Optics, or VLM (Vision-Language Models)/LLM (Large Language Models) Benefits • Interns have day one access to health insurance • Life insurance • Wellbeing benefits • 10 paid holidays per year • Paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year) • Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
