As a Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative with blithequark, you will be part of a dynamic team that values empathy, expertise, and customer satisfaction above all. Key Responsibilities Answer inbound calls from Maryland residents seeking information and assistance regarding health insurance options, providing clear and concise guidance. Update customer and account information accurately and efficiently as needed. Maintain detailed case records and notations of customer interactions. Utilize multiple database applications to access customer information and provide solutions. Embrace feedback and continuous learning to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Respond to a wide range of customer inquiries, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly. Strive to meet and exceed performance metrics, contributing to professional growth and team success. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent; college attendance or degree is preferred. At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment, preferably with a background in healthcare or health insurance customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly. Proficiency in using computer applications and adapting to new technology. The ability to understand and learn health insurance policies, terminology, and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a talent for engaging with customers and colleagues alike. Problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively. Flexibility and reliability, with availability for occasional overtime as needed. The ability to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests. Commitment to completing 3 weeks of class training and 4 weeks of supervised call taking (nesting) without any absences. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in the healthcare industry or with health insurance products. A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with health insurance marketplaces and the Affordable Care Act.
