[Remote] Business Reporting Analyst (SAS Viya – Rules Migration)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Swoon is a leader in fintech and cryptocurrency platforms, seeking a Senior Business Reporting Analyst to support a time-sensitive rules migration initiative. This role focuses on migrating, validating, and documenting enterprise-level rules within SAS Viya in a regulated financial environment.
Responsibilities
• Review and understand existing enterprise rule logic and SAS Viya code
• Execute rule migrations and cutovers within SAS Viya (no net-new rule creation)
• Run parallel comparisons between legacy systems and SAS Viya outputs
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies at a record level
• Determine whether differences require logic adjustments or formal documentation
• Use SQL to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support reconciliations
• Update and maintain clear, audit-ready documentation explaining rule behavior and changes
• Communicate findings, risks, and progress to business stakeholders
• Provide regular status updates and reporting to project leadership
Skills
• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, or Business Reporting
• Hands-on experience with SAS (SAS Viya strongly preferred)
• Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, CTEs, validation queries)
• Experience working with rules-based systems in an enterprise environment
• Proven ability to analyze results and explain why differences occur
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder communication skills
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
• Financial services, fintech, or regulated industry background
• Exposure to AML, financial crime, or compliance analytics
• Payments domain experience (wires, SWIFT, or transaction monitoring)
• Prior experience with system migrations, rule cutovers, or platform modernization
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency or digital asset platforms
