[Remote] Business Intelligence & Survey Analyst (Higher Education)

They are seeking a Business Intelligence and Survey Analyst responsible for university-wide survey administration and collaboration with stakeholders to design and maintain data visualization tools that inform strategic decisions. Responsibilities β’ Support and advance the transition of a legacy survey platform to a new enterprise survey solution, coordinating with academic, administrative, and technical stakeholders to ensure smooth migration and alignment with institutional needs β’ Lead the development, design, and execution of institutional surveys in collaboration with academic and administrative leaders β’ Maintain the university-wide survey calendar, ensuring optimal timing, coordination, and minimal survey fatigue β’ Consult with stakeholders to align survey design with strategic initiatives, operational needs, and accreditation standards β’ Implement flexible, scalable survey solutions and methodologies to meet emerging institutional needs β’ Synthesize and present survey results and outcomes, translating results into actionable insights that support decision-making at all levels β’ Design, develop, and maintain university-wide dashboards in Power BI to enable effective decision-making across the university β’ Integrate data from multiple sources, including but not limited to the LMS, SIS, survey, and CRM platforms β’ Develop automated reporting workflows and ensure accurate data refresh and performance monitoring β’ Serve as a subject matter expert on business intelligence best practices and visualization standards β’ Train and support non-technical end users in accessing and interpreting dashboards β’ Partner with Academic Schools to provide survey data and business intelligence data decision support for university planning, program review, and student success initiatives β’ Partner with Information Technology to ensure data integrity, governance, and secure access protocols Skills β’ Bachelor's degree in data science, Business Analytics, Research or related field β’ 2-4 years of experience in a higher education position working with data such as data management, complex reporting, institutional analysis, and survey research β’ Experience working with enterprise reporting tools, developing complex operational reports, and/or compliance reporting β’ Experience designing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Power BI, including data integration from multiple sources β’ Understanding of business intelligence tools and data integration, particularly Power BI, and the ability to apply data governance and accessibility standards β’ Familiarity with institutional planning processes and accreditation requirements, including how survey and BI data inform strategic and operational decisions β’ Knowledge of enterprise survey platforms and methodologies, including survey design, deployment, and analysis within a higher education context β’ Strong analytical and data visualization skills, with the ability to synthesize complex survey and administrative data into clear, actionable insights β’ Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and translate technical findings into non-technical language β’ Ability to manage multiple, high priority concurrent projects β’ Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders across all levels in a remote work environment β’ Ability to anticipate and respond to emerging data needs, leveraging scalable solutions and maintaining flexibility in approach β’ Ability to adapt to evolving timelines with a solutions-focused mindset β’ Personal computer and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including word, excel, and outlook β’ SQL databases, Power Bi, Adobe Acrobat Professional, third-party survey tools, Banner, Argos β’ Knowledge of Explorance Blue, survey system, would be preferrable Benefits β’ Health: Medical, dental, and vision coverage with spending account options. β’ Work-Life Balance: Flexible schedules, 1/2 day Fridays (biweekly), remote options, generous time off, and a paid winter break. β’ Financial Security: Life, disability, and supplemental insurance, legal and identity protection, and student debt support. β’ Retirement: 403(b) plan with a Roth option. 3% non-elective contribution and up to a 6% match for a 9% total employer contribution! β’ Education: Tuition discounts for employees and family and Tuition Exchange program with other universities. β’ Wellness: Counseling services, Calm app access, and year-round wellness programs.
