They are seeking a Business Development Representative to identify and grow high-value partnerships across technical sectors, including AI and large language models, while contributing to sustainable revenue growth and shaping business development strategy. Responsibilities Identifying, pitching, and securing new partnership and licensing opportunities Managing and growing relationships with existing partners, including renewals and upsell activity Representing the organisation at partner meetings, industry events, and conferences Collaborating with Editorial, Legal, Product, and Technology teams to develop compelling partnership proposals Supporting negotiations for pilot programmes and licensing agreements Maintaining accurate records of outreach, pipelines, and active agreements using internal systems Providing regular reporting and market insight to inform forecasting and planning Skills Strong interpersonal and business development skills Experience in partner management, sales, or business development Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven negotiation experience Comfortable preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and licensing agreements Ability to pitch confidently to clients Ability to identify market trends Ability to build lasting relationships Ability to successfully close deals Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) Proficient in CRM tools and the MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) Comfortable working independently Ability to travel as needed, including attending offsite meetings and events Holding a valid driver's licence Publishing industry experience or equivalent experience Familiarity with content licensing, rights agreements, machine learning/AI, and/or technical sectors helpful Benefits Group personal volunteer retirement scheme (403b) Discretionary annual bonus Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary Private medical, dental, vision insurance for individuals and families, plus supplemental insurances 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company Overview We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
