The Immediate Outreach group at Southwest Airlines leads direct selling methodology and strategies for Southwest Business. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for gaining, maintaining, and developing corporate travel portfolios, as well as identifying new business opportunities, assessing account performance, and providing data insights to account managers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads through cold calling and email campaigns
Build relationships with clients and engage in professional conversations
Plan and maintain associations with qualified leads for account managers
Complete timely and accurate documentation of all sales activities in Salesforce
Meet or exceed weekly/monthly lead generation objectives
Provide customer service to Southwest Business Group and clients by responding to and managing sales requests
Participate in ad-hoc sales projects, promotions, and planning
Negotiate and execute corporate agreements, including Rapid Rewards Business and the Groups program
Requirements and Skills:
Ability to participate in lead generation strategies, including prospecting and qualifying new clients
Proficient written and verbal communication skills, and ability to speak freely in front of an audience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects with tight deadlines
Must be thorough and able to work with a sense of urgency
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to identify areas of opportunity, create a plan for growth, and implement
