[Remote] Business Analyst /Data Analyst (Python, SQL & Snowflake)

They are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong data analysis and technical expertise in SQL, Python, and Snowflake to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data-driven insights are translated into actionable business strategies. Responsibilities • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements. • Translate business needs into data models, analytical reports, and dashboards. • Perform data analysis using SQL and Python to support decision-making. • Extract, transform, and analyze data stored in Snowflake for business insights. • Design and validate business rules, KPIs, and metrics. • Work closely with data engineers, developers, and BI teams to ensure accurate data delivery. • Create functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation. • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure deliverables meet business expectations. • Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Skills • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data/analytics projects. • Strong expertise in SQL (query writing, optimization, joins, aggregations). • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation. • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data querying, transformations, warehouse concepts). • Experience working with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipelines. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology. • Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
