Job Title: Remote Real Estate Accounting Bookkeeper
Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and seasoned Remote Real Estate Accounting Bookkeeper to become a valuable member of our team and assist in the financial management of our expanding real estate enterprises. This part-time role offers the convenience of working remotely while overseeing both business and select personal financial accounts. You will be instrumental in structuring and preserving financial records, reconciling accounts, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring adherence to IRS and state payroll tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Craft detailed journal entries and enter them into the general ledger (GL) to accurately reflect all income statements and expenditures.
Conduct daily reviews of accounts payable and receivable to verify the accuracy of invoices and expense reports.
Facilitate incoming and outgoing payments by managing check distribution and obtaining necessary signatures.
Reconcile all business accounts to ensure alignment and thoroughness in transaction records.
Employ accounting software to document financial information and maintain organized records.
Required Skills
Proficient in property management software, such as Yardi, is preferred.
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software, especially QuickBooks.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is necessary; a college degree is beneficial but not mandatory.
Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
