The Big Data Pre-Sales Architect role involves supporting the Sales team by addressing technical challenges, collaborating with experts, and ensuring that solutions align with client requirements while driving business value. Responsibilities β’ Work on design, delivery, and support of a variety of solutions that help our clients meet business objectives β’ Address different business and technology challenges, and drive multiple initiatives as a part of the Center of Excellence β’ Act as a bridge between Sales and Delivery teams, advise, scope, develop, and accurately estimate new data-oriented engagements: from establishing high-level data strategy and governance, through data migrations and data processing pipelines, up to AI data foundations β’ Ensure delivered solutions align with customer requirements and have measurable ROI β’ Collaborate with the Sales Team to support strategies and client engagements, expanding client understanding of data-focused Azure Cloud possibilities β’ Serve as a Azure (Big)Data Cloud subject matter expert in sales meetings and presentations β’ Build proposals with phased implementation strategies, tailoring responses to RFPs β’ Work with data engineering teams to demonstrate Azure-based Data & Analytics solutions aligned with sales and client goals β’ Identify the business challenges and map them to core Azure capabilities and communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience β’ Manage client relationships in a sales context, demonstrating long-term value Skills β’ At least 5 years of pre-sales experience, focusing on solutions centered around (big) data and analytics β’ Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud-based (Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud provider) Big Data solutions (relevant certifications would be a plus) β’ Experience working with a variety of architectural methodologies, like Attribute Driven Design (ADD) β’ Proficiency in developing strategic sales plans, specifically for Azure-based implementations of Data & Analytics systems, and digital transformations β’ Excellent communication skills for running pre-sales pitches, workshops, and delivering persuasive product demonstrations β’ Creativity in proposing Data & Analytics solutions, driven by innovative Centers of Excellence and phased implementation strategies β’ Passion for driving technology solutions tailored to industry business problems within the Azure ecosystem β’ Strong client and partner relationship management skills, focusing on understanding and expanding client needs within the realm of Microsoft Azure β’ Ability to analyze market trends and translate these insights into actionable sales strategies involving Azure β’ Excitement to be a crucial player in the intersection of sales and technology, supporting strategic engagements with clients β’ Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business IT, etc.) β’ Certifications: Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus β’ Deep familiarity with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and its data services β’ Experience in customer-facing engagements, presenting technical topics to executive audiences β’ Previous participation in large-scale digital transformation initiatives β’ Hands-on background in data engineering or solution architecture β’ Active involvement in innovation efforts or Centers of Excellence Company Overview β’ SoftServe is a digital authority that advises and provides at the cutting-edge of technology.
